| BLAMINACK |
| Blaminack
found a serious love for Reggae Music in the
early 90s. He borrowed a Reggae mixtape from
a friend and never returned it. Later on in
the 90s he found a CD by Christafari in a
Christian book store and was amazed that
there were Christians making Reggae
music.
|
|
| At
the time that was kind of a new concept and
he really began to dig into Reggae music
from a standard Gospel Reggae perspective.
Soon this led to hearing music from Rasta
artists and Reggae artists from many
different backgrounds. Then he found out
that Reggae music was not an us against them
kind of thing. Reggae music was and is the
peoples music. Through good friends like
Messian Dread, Solomon Jabby and Jah
Servant, Blaminack learned that Reggae Music
carries a message. Even if the music doesn't
have lyrics, a message comes through. For
Blaminack that message is love in Christ,
freedom, and peace in God and with God. That
doesn't mean that Blaminack is a Gospel
Reggae artist. Blaminack is a Reggae artist.
He says that he is a Christian first, and
reggae artist second. But don't think that
his music is about imitating! His music is
Reggae. Blaminack began creating Nyabinghi
drums a few years ago that are of a very
high quality and good musical tone. His
Drums have been sold all over the US and
Europe, with Ryan Moore of the Twilight Dub
Circus among his customers. Blaminack
credits Jah first, and Messian Dread for the
encouragement and direction early on in his
musical endevours. Messian Dread provided
much inspiration and helpful critique just
like he has done for dozens of Dub Reggae
Artists, but for Blaminack, he was the
source of the beginnings of his musical
works. Blaminack is currently working on an
album. Look for it to be available soon.
