Dubroom
Star Selections is proud to exclusively
present this special 2007 Internet Edition
of Dubcreator's original debut album from
the early 1990's with the telling title
"Beware... The Bass".
Thirteen heavyweight DUB tracks, causing
seismographic alerts and yet serving very
well for a chilled out evening in the same
time.
Dubcreator
is a well established name within circles of
UK DUB producers and Sound Systems. Quite
remarkable, given the fact that he is
located in Amsterdam (Netherlands). But he
deserved it: ever since he released Beware
The Bass and became one of the first online
DUB Artists, Dubcreator has been performing
and releasing heavyweight tracks with a
variety of vocalists (see our biography).
Dubcreator's
debut album already had all of his
potentials contained in it: a balance
between Reggae Drum and Basslines and what
was then rather new synthesizer and
sequencer technology, for example. In times
when only the Mad Professor seemed to make
some DUB sense out of it all, Dubcreator was
doing the same thing in his own way.
All
thirteen tracks on Beware The Bass are
produced in this concept. Strong Drum and
Basslines with a riddim section playing
Reggae Music, synthesizers and electronic
effects add their own special vibes, while
the hands of Dubcreator mix everything in a
skillful way to what still are some of the
fattest dubs ever produced by the online DUB
artist community.
